Dahoon Holly

The native Dahoon Holly is a beautiful evergreen holly with soft green foliage that can be grown as a tree or a large shrub. The tree grows up to 30 feet with soft, smooth-edged leaves, white flowers in the spring, and red or yellow berries in the fall and winter. These berries are attractive to wildlife as a food source. The tree does well in either full sun or partial shade. A perfect choice for privacy screening along the property perimeter or as a stand-alone specimen. Birds love this tree for the food source as well as nesting.
Dahoon holly trees, also known as cassena, are warm climate evergreens and are hardy in USDA zones 7 to 11.
