This exotic Passionflower, aka Passion vine, is native to Florida and famous for its rapid growth, winding vines, and stunning, unique flowers. The stunning, three- to five-inch flowers come in shades of lavender or purple, with a wavy fringe over five petals.
Passion vine grows with abandon so give it plenty of room. The plant produces some of nature's most magnificent and complex flowers during warm months of the year. This is a butterfly host plant so a must for a butterfly garden.
With the proper support, this plant can grow on a fence, trellis, arbor, or an excellent climbing vine hedge. These vines love full to part sun and flower best there. Bloom time is summer through fall. This vine often spreads beyond its original planting spot, so be sure to give it room to roam.
