The beautiful Foxtail palm has gain wide popularity due to its durability and will tolerate a wide variety of soil conditions. The Foxtail Palm is named due to its fronds resembling a fox’s tail. The slender fast-growing, solitary self-cleaning trunk grows to approximately 20-30 feet and is crowned with a canopy of 8-10 foxtail fronds.
It has a deep root system that helps it to withstand high winds and makes it easier to tolerate drought.
This is an easy maintenance plant that requires sun and is salt-tolerant. Due to the root structure, this palm may be planted near buildings or walkways. Best in Zone: 10-12, Partial shade to full sun.
