Fakahatchee Grass
Fakahatchee Grass is a robust bunchgrass resembling a shrub with long, showy green leaves when allowed to grow to 4-8 feet high and 2-3 feet wide. The plant can be pruned to form smaller, decorative clumps of grass as well and makes an excellent choice for borders or slopes.
Fakahatchee Grass can complement the home landscape in a variety of conditions to soften harsh areas under tall palm trees, or as background for shrubs and even in a pot. This ornamental grass can also be found growing along pond banks, swamps, and other wet sites throughout Florida.
Full sun to partial shade and is tolerant of a variety of soil conditions.
