Shore Juniper
Shore juniper is an ornamental, low-growing shrub whose dense vegetation provides good soil erosion protection for banks and terraces, and it does well on sandy areas such as seashores due to being very salt-tolerant. The plant has layered stems that grown upright to approximately 12 inches and the evergreen needles have a blue-green color.
This dense shrub remains low to the ground but will spread to as much as eight feet across. Low maintenance makes it a popular choice for areas that are not easy to mow.
The preferred USDA hardiness zone of shore junipers is 6 to 9.
