Flame vine displays a spectacular show of bold color during winter and spring. It blooms in the mid to late spring with hanging boughs of tubular trumpet-shaped flowers in vibrant orange. Florida Flame Vine can be formed and trained over or around most any support. This vine attracts hummingbirds and butterflies.
It thrives in poor sandy soils and is drought tolerant once well established. For the best bloom, prune and maintain regularly during the summer and do not allow escape from the planting area. Great focal point choice for a pergola, arbor, entry arch, fence line, or trellis.
