Hoya Publicalyx 'Pink Silver'
The large thick deep green foliage is heavily speckled with silver and it produces large clusters of waxy dark pink to burgundy lightly fragrant star-shaped flowers. The silver marks on the leaves turn pinkish-silver when exposed to more light and sun.
The flowers are fragrant are similar to the Hoya Carnosa, but more of a maroon color with a pink center.
The new growth and vines are often burgundy colored and this Hoya can be grown as a climber on a small trellis or it makes a fantastic hanging basket specimen.
Hoyas make easy additions to shaded container gardens for the porch or patio or windowsill. They prefer high indirect sunlight and good quality well-draining soil and should be allowed to become somewhat dry between waterings.
