A profuse bloomer that living up to its name, by opening deep violet, turning to light violet then white all in three days. Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow Plant is a rare source of purple-blue tones when it comes to tropical plants.

The Yesterday Today and Tomorrow plant may be one of the most beautiful groups of plants grown in Florida landscapes. This plant produces a fascinating display of flowers from spring until the end of summer. The shrub also has delightfully fragrant flowers of all three colors throughout its blooming season.

The size of this plant allows for growing outdoors (in the right zones) or in large pots. The full-grown size averages three to 6 feet tall with some as tall as ten feet.

The shrub is grown in warm, nearly frost-free climates zones 9 through 12. In cooler climates, grow the shrub in a container and bring it indoors once frost threatens. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow shrubs will grow in any light exposure from the sun to shade, but they do best when they receive morning sun and afternoon shade or dappled sunlight all day. They aren’t picky about soil type, but the planting location should be well-draining.

Filtered sun, Partial shade, partial sun.

Zone 9-11
